pet peeves

I hate when I see people walk into a non-animal store with their pets.....I really hate that our managers are to scared to say something to them about it. I want to buy a pit bull and bring it to work with me so it can eat your dog.........I am sorry if I offend but dogs and cats SHOULD NOT EVER be in a non-animal store shopping with you! I have seen owners bring in dogs unleashed and running wild on the floor. I have also seen dogs take a "potty break" in the aisle. Do these people know that there are people who are deathly allergic to cats/dogs?

Next pet peeve is when someone pee's on the toilet seat and will not clean up after themselves. A girl I work with claims that she is soooo clean and carries spay around with her and makes fun of people who do not wash their hands (that is gross). This is also the lady who was in the bathroom stall and I said "Oh I will go in after you because I know you are clean". I was sooo wrong! She pee's on the toilet seat and does not clean up after herself....that is sooo nasty! It reminds me of when I was dancing and the "nasty(I will do anything for a buck)girls" would not sit on the toilet seat because of germs, but......these same girls would fuck a guy at the bar for less than $20. Don't tell me about germs when you are doing that! Take a look at yourself girl...you are nasty. There are seat covers and toilet paper...please use that...that is why they are put there.

Ok, who have a made mad tonight? I just had to get that off my chest. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my whine.

I so agree with you on that one. It's gotten worse since the "toy" size dogs have become popular. People take those damn things everywhere- even the grocery store!!

simply complicated~
the dog subject is something I get very upset about....I love dogs, I have had a few dogs of my own, I do not have one now but when I get one I will NEVER take it into the store with me unless it is to scare the other dogs out of my workplace:)

The "toy" dogs are what I will have my pit bull(when I get one) go after in the store.

You so TOTALLY work in a Home Improvement store, don't you?!

People bring dogs into Home Depot all the time. I don't get it. I worked for Kmart for 12 years, and no one brought dogs there. But HD.....all the time! At least our management allows us to tell people their dogs must be in a shopping cart. And if I have to ring them up...I make them unload their own cart. I'm just not a dog person, and I have no desire to get bit.

As for peeing on toilet seats...WHAT is with these people?! I thought peeing all over a seat was a man thing. Clearly not. YUCK!

public bathrooms are so nasty!! I don't use them unless it's an emergency...and then, i've got to line the seat with t.p.. Then...you've got that whole nasty sink thing to deal with when you go to wash your hands! ich!

I would never take my dog into a non-pet store..except maybe Lowe's, but certainly never unleashed! I'm with ya on the toilet seat thing too. Wouldn't it make more sense for everyone to sit on it and not take the stance? Then "the stance" wouldn't be necessary because no one would be peeing on the seat!!

YUK!! I never, ever sit on any public toilet seat. And after I wash my hands, I keep the paper towel in my hand to open the door with. Icky germs there too...

I have a dog but I would never bring it to a non pet store. The first time I ever brought her to to PetSmart I felt weird even, bringing a dog into a public store. I also hate it when people have to dress their dogs up. I just can't see a dog liking to get some sweater put on them. It's not for the dog's enjoyment, it's so the person can make themselves happy.

You haven't made me mad, because I agree with every word. However, I understand that people will use SERVICE ANIMALS if they are blind or maybe otherwise handicapped. But that is very different, although the allergies still apply. I don't see a way around that one, though.

I totally agree. Over here, they let dogs (NOT THE SEEING GUIDE KIND) on the buses! I get annoyed when they smell my grocery bags!

I just don't understand why customers think that it is ok to bring their pets into a store...maybe they think a warehouse makes it different.

I hate to use public bathrooms...the sad part is that guys are cleaner than most women I know when it comes to bathroom use...at least guys can learn how to aim:)

J&J's mom~
HAHAHA! Don't bring him around me:)......"the stance" is nasty...if you are that grossed out by using a public bathroom that you have to use "the stance" then go do the stance behind a bush outside:)

mommak~
I use a paper towel to open the door also...and then kick it with my foot and push it away...we are lucky that the water from the sink has a sensor in it to turn on when you get close to it...yes! Lowes is moving up in the world:)

I agree with not dressing a dog...I would rather buy myself or my daughter clothes:)

I understand about the service dogs....but I have NEVER EVER seen a service dog at my job. I would be really happy if I did see one...I think that is wonderful. Those types of dogs are so special.

I would have to buy a pit bull to take with me on the bus just to prove a point:)

you managers should just tell them someting about how they can't afford to have their business in violation of health code by allowing animals in the store. weather that's true or not i don't know, but it makes a good excuse!

We do have a sign up at the front door but the managers are scared me may lose money if we tell them "no pets allowed".....it is like a lost cause...management does not care...I have even seen them clean up after other peoples pets...

Thanks for stopping by!

I just realized it looked like I was screaming up there....I wasn't, but I just meant to emphasize service animal, heh. I have seen one a time or two in the store I work for, but not often. I think it's great, too; I think those kinds of animals give their owners a greater degree of independence than they would have without. At least in some cases.
