girlfriend can not drive

This girl does not help the "woman don't know how to drive" saying.

I had just laid my head on the pillow last night around 11 to go to sleep after taking 2 tylenol pm pills when I heard my boyfriends son(16) walk into the house. He lives with his mother about 45 min. away and he and his mom have been fighting so he was at our house for a few days.

I though I heard him say that there was a car on the train tracks, but I was half asleep by this time. I heard the door open and then Greg yelled into the house for me to get up and call 911 to make the train stop. I jumped out of bed and grabbed the phone and called 911 and when I looked out the window I got scared. The girl that was driving my boyfriends son was on the train tracks.....she went off the road and was in the direction the train would come. In order to get to our house she had to make a left, go OVER the tracks and them AFTER you cross the tracks you make an immediate left and our house is right there. His girlfriend has never been in this neighborhood and made her left tooooo soon.

Greg's son left her in the car while he got his dad. I guess she was in shock. Greg got her out of the car before our local train came through. The trains around here come by every 15 min. Luckily the train stops after 11pm but they still go back and forth moving the train from one station to another. Just as I walked outside I could see Greg trying to get the train to stop before hitting this girls car. My heart was in my throat. The train goes as fast as 60 mph in this neighborhood. Greg did manage to get the train to stop in time and now all we had to do was get her car out of the tracks......not easy at all.

Where her car stopped at was on top of one track. The track is one foot above the ground. We tried to push the car out and Greg got some boards from our yard to try to lift the car over the track but it would not work.

One of my nosy neighbors came out of his house to harass the girl...asking her questions like is she high or is she drunk. He also said "How stupid could you be little girl?" "How could you end up on the tracks?"

I know she was not to smart for getting herself into this but why couldn't he just leave her alone. I know she felt so bad and so stupid for doing this. She could have got herself killed and she knew it...she did not need his help.

The police came and asked her a bunch of questions and she could not find her drivers license. We were still trying to get her car out and it started pouring down raining. Finally a guy who lives down the street was on his way home and he has his own tow truck so he helped a neighbor out for $40. It only took him 5 minute tops to pull it up and off the track. He will be sorry in the future for not helping us out and doing it for free but that is a story for another time.

After the car was pulled off the tracks the rain stopped and we all went into the house to dry off and go to bed. That is what my Friday night was like. How about yours?

Wow, I can't compete with that, I was just swining by thanks to Michele. Glad to see this girl is okay and that her car wasn't totaled, I'd hate to see the insurance fallour she would have to face, poor girl even if she did screw up. :) Hope you still got a goodnights sleep after that.

My Friday night was boring I just watched basketball on TV. Michele sent me. I went and looked at your avon site, it's difficult to find much out unless you have a log in, which I don't but it seems simple enough to me.

My Friday night was sooooo boring compared to yours :-) Dinner at parents house, then home to watch tv, get curious about some raised voices outside and watch a fight break out between some drunk youths and a neighbour who came out of his house in his underwear to tell them all to *** off home. Pretty much the usual, really.

Oh by the way, Michele sent me :-)

I can't believe your neighbor charged to tow her off the tracks! My step-dad owned a bodyshop/gas station while I was growing up and owned his own towtruck. What a wonderful thing when you're a teenager!

Glad everyone is ok, tho.

Wandering thru via Michele tonight. :)

people constantly amaze you at the pure awfulness of their rhetorical questions, don't they? (i'm another via michele traveller, and thanks for visiting my newbie site as well.) anyone (!) can make a turning mistake, especially at night. my friday night was pretty dull, but i think i'd opt for dull over that kind of drama. (sorry, i'm an avon illiterate, can't help you there. blessings.

Pretty exciting night. I can understand about turning the wrong way. Years ago some friends and I were traveling through Florida. We checked out of the hotel and than turned onto the highway, except we turned the wrong way. My friend that was driving thought it was a two way street, but it was divided by a median that had bushes between the roads, so it was hard to see the other side. As soon as he turned we realized what he did and he pulled over on the shoulder. Well way up ahead a car coming towards us a car stopped. Why he stopped in the middle of the road I don't know, we were off the road and not heading towards him anymore. He stopped right at the bottom of a hill. Coming over the hill was a kid driving a motorcycle, he didnt' see the car stopped in time, and hit him in the back. He wasn't hurt luckily, but all this mean the cops were called out. They were very nice, even apologizing to my friend as they gave him a ticket. They said they wouldn't have given it to him but because there was an accident and someone was hurt and he was the intial cause of the accident he got the ticket. So it's easy to turn the wrong way, this was in the morning with the sun out, at night it's even easier. And I don't think the neighbor was very nice by charging to help someone on him.

He will be sorry that he did not help us out. He is making an enemy with the wrong people. My bouyfriend had problems with him anyway, so he told me that he was glad he would not help us just proves that his is the scum that we thought he was.

the guy who said all those mean things to that girl was drunk. He is so nosy. His daughter lives next door to her parents and won't speak to her mom or dad...they like to cause trouble.

the rest of my weekend is very quiet.

WOW! sounds like you have some storys to tell also. I am glad that no one was hurt real bad. Thanks for stopping by.

I do enjoy your site. Thanks for stopping by to say hello.

Wow. Er-, you will not be surprised to hear that my Friday night was nothing at all like your's. Pub, pizza, tv, scrabble (rock 'n' roll!) and an early night. And quite glad about that too. Glad everyone was ok. Looking forward to the $40 'story for another time'.
