my tattoos

I have three tattoos and I figured with my brother getting his I would tell the story behind all three of mine.

I got my first tattoo the night before my 20th birthday. It is a symbol of friendship and 5 of my girlfriends had already had it done a few months before me. It was paid for by them as a birthday gift and I was so scared....this tattoo hurt the most. I am only really friends with one of the girls now. I do see another on occasion but that is because she is married to my personal trainer. We are just not really close. The other girls have moved on in their lives and I guess they don't want to be reminded about the past. We all worked together as dancers. It is a part of my life that I can not forget about. I am glad I have this tattoo and I do not regret having 5 friends out there with the same tattoo. These girls helped me get through some very rough times in my life. We had birthday parties for the kids together, we have been through everything the best of friends could go through and more. These ladies know more about me than anyone else. They have seen my strength and my weakness. I really miss having them in my life everyday but I will never forget the times we shared together. We have a special bond even though we do not get together like we should. Carrie, Angie, Heather, Robin, Kris, and Dawn have a special bond and that will not change. This is a symbol of our friendship..........

My second tattoo came about 2 months after my first one. I did not pick a picture out of a book, I told the tattoo artist what I wanted and he came up with his own idea and colors. Anna loves it and like to show it off to her friends. I went on a trip to Atlantic City with my girlfriend (my tattoo friend). We went with some guys that she knew....they were old and wanted a pretty girl on their arms while they threw money around. We had a pretty good time. They seemed to know all the important people. We said that we would go back without "our guys" but we never did. I made pretty good money....not as much as my girlfriend did but I was not sleeping with my guy. I never went back on an Atlantic City trip again but I did have dinner a few times and I still keep updated on the main guy(the money guy). He is doing well he keeps in touch with a good friend of mine so that is how I know how he is doing.

I got my tattoo 2 nights after I got back from my trip and I had another one of my tattoo girls with me when I got this tattoo done. Mom was real mad about this tattoo...she said that people would think I was gay. She would never walk with me because she though people would think she was my lover......I told you she is crazy! This is my daughter favorite....if you could not guess it by looking at it.

My third tattoo I have had for over 4 years. I got this because I love Greg so much. He has helped me in soooo many ways and I will love him forever. If we were to break up for whatever reason I would never regret getting this tattoo. He has been there for me and Anna more than anyone else ever would. To answer you question no he does not have my name on him. He can not have any tattoos because his body rejects the ink.

Here is a picture of Greg's old tattoo that they had to cut out. Just so you don't think he is scared to get a tattoo. he had this cut out over 16 years ago! His tattoo took up his whole upper arm and now it looks like nothing. I am so glad that I was not around to see it when the cut it out:(

Nice tattoos...I keep saying I am going to do a post on mine, but I never do! I love mine, too, they have great memories for me. One of these days...

I like your tattoos and the stories behind them. I don't have any yet, but I've been contemplating one for the last year.

I'm not much of a tattoo person, but that doesn't mean they're wrong. Just not for me.

Hello, Michele sent me!

Loved the story about your friends! I have grown apart from mine, too, but the key is remembering the good times and not living with regret! :) (Unless they screwed you over, then it's "revenge time!" lol)

Hello, thanks for stopping by my place. I've been here before via Michele's because I remember your lovely blog design.

I admire tattoos on others but I think I've decided I'm too chicken to get one myself. :)

Hey Dawn. I'm back from Michele's - again.

I don't have any tattoos. Aside from the fact that my wife would kill me if I came home with one, I'd be banned from donating blood for at least a year if I got one. I donate plasma every week, so I'd have a tough time sleeping if I wasn't allowed to donate.
